Boat Yards
7 major boat yards are to be found on the island. Your yacht broker is the one who will advise on which one to use, depending on the vessel location, the wishes of the yacht owner, or the size of the vessel you’re looking at, as yard cranes varies in hauling capabilities.
As a reminder, because Dutch side yards issue their bills in US$, their final cost is most of the time cheaper than the ones on the French side, billing you in Euros.

- Geminga Boat Yard, French Side.
With a 30 tons capable trailer, the yard can safely haul out cats up to 50 foot, within walking distance from down town Marigot.

- JMC Marina and Boatyard, French Side.
One travel lift and one crane let them pull out vessels up to 60 feet. A little messy sometimes, but does the job.

- Time Out Boat Yard (TOBY) French Side.
The yard went through a major refit 2 years ago, it is well managed, offers free wifi and has my personal award of the cleanest yard bathrooms on the island.

- Bobby’s Mega Yard, Dutch Side.
One of the biggest travel lift in the Caribbean (150 metric tons) and a second 75 tons just in case… Brad is perfectly organized with his staff and I shall add that Carlton is the best travel lift driver in the Caribbean.

A smaller travel lift than its big brother in Cole Bay, but also well organized and managed.
- Bobby’s Marina in Philipsburg, Dutch Side.
Bobby is back in town ! Yard is still under development, but the project is promising. Clean, safe and well managed.
